This time it’s ice that shuts down schools, ballgames

Tuesday morning’s arrival of ice closed Martin, Wayland and Hopkins public schools. Wayland’s basketball game Tuesday night was rescheduled for the following Monday. Meanwhile, Christian Neighbors was closed for the 9 a.m. noon shift, but reopened for the afternoon when the freezing rain turned to rain. This is just the last example of a spate of inclement weather that has shut down schools, services and even businesses temporarily.
