The Thornapple Valley StriTVStringsngs will be special guests at the next local folk music gathering at 6 p.m. Saturday at Vibrant Grains Restaurant, 142 S. Main St., Wayland.

“The weather is supposed to be great, so enjoy the day outside then come on over to the Vibrant Grains Restaurant for a evening of great music,” said organizer J.D. Gonzales.

The Thornapple Valley Strings are four talented musicians who have played together for about four years. Band members include Ken Moore from Middleville, lead singer and rhythm guitar; Judy Moore on the stand-up bass; Bob Burghdoff from Hastings on fiddle, and Orville Harrington from Hastings on Dobro, mandolin, fiddle.

They play a variety of music, bluegrass, country, folk, gospel, and instrumentals.

“They play for fun and the love of music,” Gonzales said.

As usual, there will be time set aside for open mic and jamming.
