Allegan County Central Dispatch Saturday night received several 911 calls reporting a serious crash at the intersection of 30th Streetand 136th Avenue in Salem Township.
Units from Salem Fire Department and the Allegan County Sheriff’s Office arrived and provided treatment to the involved parties.
Preliminary investigation shows a pickup was west bound on 136th Avenue and failed to stop for the stop sign, colliding with a sedan that was south bound on 30th Street. The sedan was occupied by one person, while the pickup was occupied by a driver and passenger. All three were injured and transported to local area hospitals for treatment.
Speed and alcohol both appear to be factors in the crash, authorities said.
The names of the involved parties are being withheld at this time while this case remains under investigation.
