Three women from Martin are among the Michigan National Barrel Horse Association (NBHA) world qualifiers, representing this state in the NBHA Youth & Teen World Championships July 21-27 in Perry, Ga. They are Brandi Mathis Jozy Mathis and Kyia Bozzo.

Four youngsters from Martin; Abriella and Urijah Kincade, Jozy Mathis, and Kyia Bozzo, have all competed this week in hopes of bringing home a championship title. Abriella placed fourth in the peewee class. Urijah and Jozy had nice runs placing in some side pots but did not make the short go. Kyia is currently hoping to earn a place in the short go with her redemption round run.
