A 120-year-old Fortune 500 financial services company is opening a new office at 118 W. Maple St. at the former location of Dahlia City Dogs.
After many years of shared space in the Wayland area, local Thrivent Financial Advisor, Philip Maass, CFP®, CLU®, FIC is deepening his roots in the area by purchasing this exclusive location.
Thrivent helps members navigate their financial journey with holistic financial services, including purpose-based advice, investments, insurance, banking and generosity programs. The Thrivent business model reinvests profits back into the people and communities they serve. Philip has served members for more than 20 years, and in that time, his clients have collectively made a $6.1 million dollar impact from generosity programs in the communities they value.
“The team is grateful for the support of the Wayland City Council and the Wayland Downtown Development Authority for promoting economic growth in the form of a Wayland Downtown Façade Improvement grant for their building,” Maass said.

He will be investing as well, by facilitating needed improvements to the 75-year-old building while honoring the history of businesses that have come before.
This project is intended to be a real-life example of how Thrivent reinvests back into the community. Needed masonry repairs will help ensure the building will last another 75 years. Alongside this effort, the team will be leading a fund-raiser supporting the Wayland Union High School art program, which previously has helped to beautify this location previously.
