Two funerals set for former WHS student Gayle Stora-Mabin

Gayle Lynn Stora-Mabin, age 54, has died after a long struggle with brain cancer.

Gayle attended Wayland High School and Grand Rapids Community College. She worked as accounts payable supervisor at Behler Young Co. for many years before joining the U.S. Postal Service in 1998. Through hard work she went from automation clerk to postmaster of the City of Ada by 2008.

She is survived by her husband, Timothy; her children, Chaunte Stora, Jesse, and Mercedes Gonzales; ten grandchildren; parents, Richard Stora and Gayle Clement; brothers, Richard II (Chris) Stora, Mark (Missy) Stora, Kim (Greg) Walzewski; parents-in-law, Clarence and Betty Mabin; many nieces and nephews.

A visitation for the Mabin family will be from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday, Dec. 23, followed by a memorial service at noon at Stroo Funeral Home, 1095 68th St., Cutlerville. A visitation for the Stora family will be from 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 23, followed by a memorial service at 3 p.m. at Stroo Funeral Home.
