Both the Martin High School and Middle School Odyssey of the Mind teams Saturday qualified for the state finals next month at Thornapple Kellogg. The middle school kids placed first and the high school boys placed third and are heading to state finals. However, these boys did more than just make state. They received the competitions most prestigious award, the OMer award. This award is given to ‘individuals or teams that demonstrate outstanding sportsmanship, exemplary behavior or exceptional talent.
