The boys’ and girls’ Wayland High School bowling teams Thursday fell short in their quests to qualify for the state Division 2 team tournament. The boys finished sixth and the ladies seventh.
Coach Eric Bottrall said, “I can’t be more proud of this young squad, as we will be much better next season.”
Friday was singles competition and Louie Harnish (fifth place) and Brooke Trumbull (sixth) both made the the top seven to qualify for the state finals next Saturday in Waterford at Century Lanes.
