Wayland High School graduate Olya Schenky, foreign exchange student from the Ukraine, has settled in Germany, where she finally received approval for residency after having to flee her native land because of the invasion of Russia last March. Her remaining family members finally escaped Ukraine and reunited with her a couple weeks ago, according to her American “mother,” Connie VanHouten.
