Bert Stiles, the woman who was killed by a passing vehicle while walking to her mailbox on March Road Wednesday, will have a private family funeral.

She was born June 17, 1952, in Marshall, the daughter of George and Mabel (Ousley) Robinson. As a young woman Bert worked at Denniston Farms where she met her husband, Otha “O.D” Sites. They were married June 27, 1970, in Otsego. Bert went on to work at Perrigo for more than 25 years until her retirement.

Bert loved yard saling, playing cards, bingo, gardening and collecting, especially baseball cards and beanie babies. Most of all she loved spending time with her family.

Surviving are her children, Kathy (Charles) Dennany of Otsego, Lori Richards of Plainwell and Valerie Richar of Portage; four grandchildren, Jason, Brad, Kaylee and Sam; three great-grandchildren, Lucas, Landen and Jaxon; her brother, Phillip Robinson, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and 12 siblings, Thelma, Velve, Diane, Paul, Betty, Grover, Russell, Maudie, Shirley, Bill, David and Wade.

A private family funeral service will be held.

Burial will take place at Oakhill Cemetery in Orangeville.
