Don Snooks, age 72, of Wayland, died Friday, Oct. 23.

Don was an Army veteran in Vietnam. He earned the Meritorious Unit Commendation Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with four bronze stars, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Ribbon with Device, and Marksman Badge with Rifle Bar.

He is survived by his children, Jodi Heffner and Jeremy Snooks; grandchildren Kyle Von Rossum, Nathan Von Rossum, Kinely Snooks, Adyson Snooks, Lena Snooks, Taylor Snooks, Emalee Snooks, Meghan Snooks, Jessica Hadden, and Briana Johnson; siblings Rob (Laurie) Moser, Marilyn (Terry) Brilhart, Oren Moser, Sharon Cameron, Diane Caywood; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his son, Chad Snooks; parents Miles Snooks and Betty Moser; siblings Rick Moser, Mary Moser, and Lila Moser.

In honor of Don, and in lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Allegan Co. Humane Society.

I am sure the family is proud. We are sorry for your loss. The Vietnam Vets are among Americas Best. God bless the family and comfort them.
