Local coordinators for the free food truck program in Wayland agree more people are showing for the monthly distribution, but it’s not overwhelming because of the Coronavirus crisis.

The distribution Friday afternoon at the United Church of Wayland included 110 households with 399 individuals. That figure was slightly down from the 120 households served in March.

The Feeding America truck serves an average of 80 households each month, so the last two months have shown and increase of 38 and 50 percent, respectively.
