Visitation for Bryan Rybiski slated for Friday, March 15

Bryan James Rybiski, age 46, died Thursday, March 7.

Bryan enjoyed many hobbies, including camping, golfing and spending time with his family. His family, and especially his children, were the highlight of his life.

Bryan had a wonderful smile and great sense of humor, and he was able to make a friend with anyone he met. Bryan was a graduate of Wayland Union High School class of 1995. He later went on to receive a bachelor of science degree in packaging from Michigan State University.

Later in life he developed a joy for running, participating in many races. Bryan was passionate about all things Michigan State, where he developed many important lifelong friendships. He also was a top youth bowler in state-wide competition in 1988.

Bryan is survived by his children, Alison and Cameron; mother, Mary Lou Rybiski; sister, Sherry (Ron) Miklusicak; aunts Theresa Wooten (his godmother), Shirley Canfield, Carol (Steve) Weber, Diane Alflen; niece, Carli Miklusicak; his children’s mother, Shannon Rybiski; several cousins; and many friends.

Bryan was preceded in death by his father, Frank Rybiski; uncle, Marv Alflen; special cousin, Lisa Wooten; and four-legged friend, Chelsea.

Visitation with the family will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, March 15, at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Services (Wayland Chapel), 312 N. Main St., with prayers of the Rosary from 4 to 4:30 p.m.

In memory of Bryan and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family for Alison and Cameron’s future education expenses. Bryan had a passion for helping people; one of his last acts of helping others was participating in Gift of Life. By doing so, Bryan will be helping many other people in need.
