Patrice De Haan, 57, of Wayland, died Friday, July 31.
Patt was born Sept. 25, 1957, in Columbus, Ohio, to the Rev. Hubert and Barbara (Swartz) Sprik.
A dairy farmer’s wife, mother and grandmother, Patt drove bus for Wayland Union Schools and Hope Network, and was a secretary and grant writer for Grand Rapids Adult Education. In her spare time she enjoyed genealogy research and was active in multiple historic societies.
Surviving are her husband, Harry De Haan, four children Joseph (Monica) De Haan, Rebecca (Eric Clark) De Haan, Joshua (Gretchen) De Haan, Theodore (Julie) De Haan; eight grandchildren Rylee, Caleb, Isaac, Noah, Grant, Cameron, Aiden and Callen, siblings Carol (Eric) Carlson, Chris (Doug) De Haan, Janet (Tom) Smart, Michelle Morgan and Paul (Kelly) Sprik; sisters-in-laws Yvonne (John) Kinge and Sherry (Roger) Ten Harmsel.
Patt was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law, Bill Morgan.
Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 4, at Corinth Reformed Church, 129 100th St SE, Byron Center, (616) 877-4652, from 3 until 5 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Corinth Reformed Church at 5 p.m. Tuesday.
