
Woody Justice died Tuesday, Jan. 6, at U of M Health West in Wyoming. He was 78
He was born Oct. 25, 1947, in Greenup County, Ky, the son of Ruben and Exie (Barker) Justice. Woody served his country in the U.S. Army during Vietnam and he worked for 20 years at Kono’s Inc. in Martin, until his retirement in 2015.
Woody was a life member of the VFW Post #3030 and enjoyed fishing and gardening.Woody loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also liked following baseball, basketball and football and watching Westerns.
On Nov. 2, 1984, in Allegan, he married Linice Pence, who survives.
Also surviving are his children, Jeff (Angel) Justice, JayCee (Jay) Raab, Bill (Jaime) Justice and Rebecca (Zach) Moored; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; siblings, Loretta Whitmore, Linda Whitmore and Bob (Jaye) Justice; brothers-in-law, Jack Powell and Dick Johnson; sister-in-law, Janice (Mike) Cooper, along with several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Janice and Nancy; sister-in-law, Barbara and brothers-in-law, Robert, Sonny and Henry.
According to his wishes, cremation has taken place.
Friends may visit with Woody’s family starting at 10 a.m. Saturday Jan. 17, at the Winkel Funeral Home, Otsego, until the time of the memorial service at 11 a.m., with Pastor Rick Scheibe officiating.
Private family burial of ashes will take place at Fort Custer National Cemetery at a later time.
