Donald J. Bos, age 84, of Wayland died Friday, June 29.

The son of Herman and Tracy (Schepel) Bos, he was born and raised in Holland, resided in Grand Rapids for 20 years and moved in 1972 to Wayland, where he owned and operated a business.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years Nancy (Freeland) Bos; his five children and their partners Don and Alicia (Marquez) Bos of Austin (TX), Sandra and Brian Larsen of Wayland, Michael and Dawn (Kerley) Bos of Wayland, Cathy Bos and Ruth Terpstra near Hopkins, and Mary and Rob Griffith of Wayland Township; eleven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; six nieces and nephews and his sister Beverly (Bos) Harper of Holland.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, July 7,  at Gorden Funeral Residence, Hopkins Chapel. Interment in Rest Lawn Cemetery, 3448 Eastern Ave., Grand Rapids will take place at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
