Brian Timothy Bailey, age 60, of Wayland, died Monday, Feb. 29, His wife, Michelle Bailey, died just five months ago.
Brian grew up with a love for the outdoors, Harley Davidson motorcycles and automobiles. He spent many days working as a mechanic at his father’s business alongside his younger brother, Scott. While working as a mechanic, he attended night school at Davenport University and eventually graduated with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. He was an accomplished mechanic and devoted father.
Though he had six children, all enrolled in some type of sport or activity and worked full time, he made sure he was at all of these events cheering them on. His legacy of hard work, dedication, and overall love for life and family will live on through his children.
Brian also was preceded in death by dear friend and brother in law, Marvin Mikesell and Michael Johnson.
He is survived by his dad, Ellis Bailey; mother, Beverly Bailey; and step mother, Jackie Bailey; siblings, Victoria and Scott Bailey; as well as his six children, Bradley Bailey with wife Sophia, Aleisha (Bailey) Silvernail with husband Cameron, Elizabeth Bailey, Brodrick Bailey, Sierra and Savanah Bailey, along with three grandchildren, Payton, Ellasyn, and baby, Amara.
There will be a visitation from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 5, with the service following at 3 p.m. at Stroo Funeral Home on 68th Street in Cutlerville. Deacon Jeff Burns will officiate.
