Alwin “Al” De Groot, 70, of Dorr, died Monday, Feb. 17.

He was a faithful servant of the Lord in everything he did and with everyone he saw.

Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Judy (Bomhof) De Groot; children, Bryan and Krista De Groot, Rebecca and Eric Fogg, Marc and Lisa De Groot, Zachary, Brandon, Devon, and Jacob De Groot; 10 grandchildren; his sister, Heather and Jim Heyboer; sister-in-law, Joan and Mike Roosien.

He was preceded in death by his son, Jed; and daughter, Melissa.

The family will greet visitors from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20, at Stroo Funeral Home on 68th Street in Cutlerville.

Private interment will be in Hooker Cemetery.
