Wayland High School graduate Kadence Bottrall competed in Interscholastic Singles bowling competition this past weekend in Addison, Ill.
Among the 244 ladies competing for eight spots to get to the national finals, Bottrall, who now bowls for Davenport University, finished in14th place overall.
Her coach and father, Eric Bottrall, said, “She was 13 pins short this year. I know she was very disappointed, but I couldn’t be more proud of her. She bowled very well and has nothing to hold her head down about.
The coach said Kadence has competed three times in the national competition, finishing 23rd, 10th and now 14th. She has one more shot at it next year.
She holds the Wayland High School single game record with a 299, meanwhile for anyone to break that standard, she’ll have to roll a perfect game.
