Roger and Mary Jane Merren have been chosen 2023 Wayland Area Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade Grand Marshals. The couple will be leading this year’s parade Saturday, Dec. 2,beginning at 11 a.m. The parade will begin at the VFW post on South Main and conclude at the Wayland Fire Department.

Both Merrens are 1967 graduates of Wayland High School. Roger was a longtime assistant manager at Harding’s Market and a member of the Fire Department. Mary Jane at one time owned a business in downtown Wayland. Both are lifetime residents and community activists.
