The Wayland Union high school concert band received straight 1s from the adjudicators at the annual Michigan School Band & Orchestra District (MSBOA) District Band Festival this weekend. Concert Band Director Kelli Tilley Smith announced the results to the students as they listened and cheered through the open windows of the bus (see photo below) as they departed the festival.
