The Wayland Union High School chapter of the National Honor Society inducted 42 members Wednesday evening, Oct. 20 at the Fine Arts Center.

The National Honor Society (NHS) seeks to elevate a school’s commitment to the values of scholarship, service, leadership and character. In order to be considered for induction, students must be a junior or senior and demonstrate characteristics of these four pillars.

Candidates for this chapter must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale to demonstrate appropriate academic scholarship. The selection of qualified candidates are then considered based on their records of service, leadership and character.

Advisors are Dr. Linda Bensyl and Chris Jasinski.
