Pine Street Elementary in Wayland had its annual observance of Veterans Day this morning with an assembly. Meanwhile, somewhere in Hopkins is this quiet reminder of those who served the country and did not return alive. Sue Sebright posted this monument to the names of Steven Kamyszek, Marvin Wamhoff, Elwin Reynolds, Clifford Hazen, Mitchell Laker and Robert Smith, all of Hopkins, who died in World War II, and James Parmalee, during the Vietnam Conflict.
