Wayland, Hopkins and Martin schools, as well as many other Allegan County districts, all canceled classes for Monday because of dangerously low temperatures, dipping below zero in the morning hours. It was so cold that WXMI-Fox 17 published this notice to warn residents about the perils that can exist out of doors in these conditions.
