Gerrit King, 26, of Wayland this week was convicted in Allegan County Circuit Court of delivery of a controlled substance causing the death of an an Allegan man.

Authorities with the Sheriff’s office and Southwest Enforcement Team arrested King after an investigation of the source of the drugs that caused the death of Quinn Robinson, 27. The Allegan County Medical Examiner’s Office determined Robinson’s death was the result of a drug overdose.

The Allegan County Prosecutor’s Office then charged King. The verdict came after three days of trial this week in Allegan. King’s bond was revoked, and he was taken into custody.

Michigan State Police troopers said King will be sentenced March 4.
