Wayland Robotics team runner-up in 1st competition

The Wayland Union High School Robotics team No. 6090 finished in second place at the district competition Friday and Saturday in Muskegon and earned the Industrial Design Award. Senior Jack Lyons provided leadership.

A spokesperson said, “The robot ran well and looked great. We made it to the finals, but came up runner up.

The local group will be back in action Thursday and Friday and Saturday, March 26 and 27, at Grand Valley State University.
