Wayland Union Schools has received a No. 2 ranking from Niche for best food.
Best Food ranks 3,868 school districts based on district spending statistics and more than 580,000 opinions on food from 215,000 students and parents. A high ranking indicates the district offers a variety of healthy, quality food options, accommodates various dietary preferences like vegan and gluten-free, and the students rate the quality of food favorably.
Jeff Kniaz, a Wayland High School faculty member, posted on Facebook, said the competition is ” based on a variety of factors from vegetarian and gluten free options to student and parent opinions. My district ranked #2 out of 3,000+ districts in the survey. We were beaten only by Cambridge Public Schools in Cambridge, Mass.”
An additional 41 districts received a grade but were not eligible for ranking.
