The Wayland equestrian team finished itsthird and final meet as reserve champions in MIHA District 19 and now moves on to the regional competition at Berrien Springs Oct.3-4 to compete against the other top teams in their division for a spot at the state meet.

The team includes seniors Daphne Bos, Danielle Chapman, Trevor Hoaglin, Samantha Dreyer and sophomore Jenna Hubert.

Team members competed in 17 separate events in each meet, including showmanship, pleasure classes, performances class and speed events. Senior Daphne Bos claimed honors this year as one of the top 10 point earners in the district.

Each member did their part to make this one of their best years yet, supported by coaches Melissa Hubert and Mikayla Hubert.
