Rachel Bouterse, daughter of John and Michelle Bouterse of Dorr and a graduate of Wayland High School, made the top five for People’s Choice honors at the Miss Michigan pageant in Muskegon Saturday night. Her fan base raised more than$2000 in the Greater Rapids area to put her platform on mental health on the map. Bouterse was chosen Miss Allegan County last fall to earn the right to compete in the Miss Michigan contest.
