Wayland High School graduate Brianna Hyde has been named a winner in Northwood University’s Newcomer of the Year competition. A star in track and field, she had a stellar career for Wayland High School. At Northwood, Hyde is a hurdler and is proficient in the long jump. She most recently turned in three solid performances in the Al & Sue Owens Classic competition, shining inn the triple jump, 100-meter hurdles and she was second inn the long jump.
