The Wayland boys’ varsity basketball team stepped outside O-K Gold Conference action Wednesday night and defeated West Michigan Aviation Academy 46-40 in a makeup contest.
The Wildcats bounced back from a 23-point loss to South Christian the night before.
The victory improved Wayland’s overall season record to 5-13. Its league record stands at 1-8, the same as its Friday night opponent, Middlevi;lle Thornapple Kellogg.
