Opening night for the three local high school basketball teams was a mixed bag Tuesday.
Wayland was able to hold off non-conference rival Hamilton 58-54, but Division 4 Martin bowed to Division 3 Parchment on the road, 54-45.
Boys’ teams will resume their hardcourt seasons Friday evening. Girls’ basketball will made their debuts starting Tuesday, Dec. 9.
