Workers from the City of Wayland began clearing brush and other materials Thursday morning alongside the Rabbit River Park walkway, preparing for installation of a dog park. The workers brought along a few machines and indicated there’s a possibility that the new addition will be ready later this spring. The Rabbit River Trail and Park has been used extensively by local and area residents and dog owners, so this will open things up for the canines. The city conducted a survey not long ago, asking citizens what they would like to see, and a large number respondents replied that they would like to see a dog park.
