Wayland’s Economic Restructuring Committee Main Street Logowill have an informal workshop from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 15, at the Bay Ponte Inn’s Fireside Room, Gun Lake.

The workshop is designed specifically for helping downtown property owners with the sale and lease of their available properties and spaces. Though the workshop is targeting downtown building owners, WERC encourages anyone interested to attend, especially realtors, entrepreneurs, developers and investors.

Guest speaker for the workshop is Jason Makowski, commercial realtor with NAI Wisinski of West Michigan. Makowski intends to engage the audience with an active question and answer format that will help building owners troubleshoot specific property challenges to help facilitate occupancy.

WERC members and Wayland Main Street Manager Ingrid Miller also will share a small portion of the presentation with Makowski by discussing the role WERC plays in attracting targeted business to the downtown district and reviewing the tools and incentives available to building owners.

Tickets for the event will cost $10 per person, which includes admission, workshop materials and lunch.
