Area departments issue warning about fire danger

Wayland and the surrounding areas, including Leighton Township, have been moved into the extreme fire danger category. With high temperatures, low humidity, along with lack of rain, there will be no burn permits issued until this area receives measurable rain and fire danger falls into an acceptable level.
