Wayland Middle School to observe Pearl Harbor Day

75th-logo-358x352Wayland Union Middle School will hold its annual Pearl Harbor Day program to remember the events of Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941, and to honor local veterans.

The program, observing the day’s 75th anniversary, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7, at the Wayland Union Fine Arts Center located at 870 E. Superior St. in Wayland.  The Wayland VFW Post #7581 will name the VFW Teacher of the Year.

A half hour prior to the ceremony, Middle School students will hold a tea for veterans and interview them about their military experience. This is open to the public and local veterans are encouraged to attend.

The program will include performances from the middle school choir and orchestra.
