Bertha “Bert” Feltenbarger, age 86, of Dorr, died Friday, April 28.
Bert loved playing cards, watching Shark Tank, and shopping at Yonkers. She loved a bargain. Bert was a lifetime member at Weight Watchers. She was constantly worrying about her family; whom she loved very much.
Bert will be lovingly remembered by her children, Ardith and Tom Hooker, Carol Brinks, Tommy and Cathy Feltenbarger; her grandchildren, Matt Hooker (Stephanie Cheyne), Dawn (Tim) Driesenga, Luke (Jessica) Brinks, John (Amy) Brinks, Ellen Feltenbarger, TJ (Danielle) Feltenbarger, Grace Feltenbarger; her great-grandchildren, Regina, Hunter, Morgan, Kendra, Jaclyn, Connor, Hannah, Deaken, Morgan, Tyler, Julia, Oliver, Archer, Remi, and Lauren; her brother, John (Virginia) Texer; her sister, Fransis Dekker; her close friend, Elizabeth “Sookie” Teed; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Feltenbarger, her parents, John and Alberdena Texer; her father- and mother-in-law, Otto and Cleo Feltenbarger; her son-in-law, Larry Brinks; her grandson, James Hooker; her brothers, Henry, Egbert, and Joe Texer; her sisters, Wilma Snyder, Evelyn Herron, Alice Texer, Jane Kortliver, and Theresa Zylstra.
A time for relatives and friends to visit with Bert’s family will be held from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Monday at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Services in Dorr, 4330 18th St. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 2, at the funeral home, with visitation prior to the service beginning at 10 a.m. Rev. Nancy Patera will officiate. Interment will be at Burnips Cemetery.
