Services are Tuesday at St. Stanislaus for Rita Huver, 76, of Dorr

Rita Mae Huver, 76, of Dorr, died Thursday, photo_20150130_WM0029607_0_huver_pic_20150130Jan. 29.

Rita graduated from Gaylord High School and played basketball and softball. Besides being a dedicated mother, Rita was an accomplished office manager for several area businesses. Rita and husband Ed were members of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, and formerly were members of St. Therese Catholic Church in Wayland. Above all, Rita devoted her life and love to her whole family.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years Edmund Huver; her children: Edmund (Lois) Huver, Jr., Jeffrey (Bonnie) Huver, Dennis (Kerry) Huver, Patrick (Bridget) Huver, and Troy (Lisa) Huver; her grandchildren: Matthew (Shannon) Huver, Marissa (Erik) Fanyo, Kyle Huver, Katherin Huver, Lily Huver, Josephine Huver, Ben Huver and Tyler Huver; her great-grandchildren: Lanie Fanyo and Deegan Huver; her brother Edward McCauley; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Uriel and Mae McCauley; her brothers and sister: Lyle, Donald, and Clement McCauley and Patricia Dillingham.

Friends may visit with family from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday, Feb. 2, at the Kubiak-Cook Funeral Services, Dorr Chapel, with a Rosary Service at 6 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church with Father Harold Potter presiding. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.

Donations in memory of Rita may be made to Hospice of Michigan.
