Service will be Friday for Joe ‘Headquarters’ Jablonski, 69

Joseph Anthony Jablonski, aphoto_20160329_WM0064048_0_20160329ge 69, of Wayland, died Monday, March 28.
Born Feb. 9, 1947, in Dorr, Joe was a loving husband, father, and grandfather often referred to as “Daddy” by his children and as “Headquarters” by many family and friends. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a lifelong farmer, a member of St. Therese Parish, the VFW, and the American Legion.
Joe is survived by his wife Sally (Alder) Jablonski, children Kathleen (Matt) Van Alst, Julie (Todd) Bieber, Sherri (Joel) Rodanhisler, Lori (Dan) Weber, Angela Jablonski (fianc Blake Dalson), Joe (Karri) Jablonski, Steve (Karli) Jablonski, Aaron (Kerry) Mattix, Tim (Beth) Mattix, Nick Mattix (friend Gloria Reyes). He is also survived by his sister Barbara (Patrick) Bristol, and brother Ray (Debbie) Jablonski and nieces and nephews. Joe loved spending time with his 31 grandchildren.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Emily (Fritza) Jablonski
Friends may visit with Joe’s family from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 30, and Thursday, March 31, at the Kubiak-Cook Funeral Home, Wayland. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday, April 1, at St. Therese Catholic Church, Wayland, with Father Christian Johnston presiding. Interment will follow at St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery, Hilliards, with military honors.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may to be made to Faith Hospice at Trillium Woods or Hospice of Michigan.
