A harbinger of what’s to come later this week?

The predicted big winter storm had not yet arrived, but already there was a highway incident, this one at the Gun Lake Casino exit (No. 61) off the U.S.-131 expressway. All weather forecasters and meteorologists have been telling everyone that a massive winter storm, including freezing temperatures, high winds and heavy snow, will arrive starting Thursday night and lasting through Christmas Day (Sunday). Some say this spectacle will rival the infamous “Blizzard of ’78.”

The sad thing is people were a lot more (STREET SMART) in 1978 than they are now. Now it is just go fast and hope for the best??

    • You’re right about that, Dennis, can’t wait to see how many bumpers will be left hanging off the cable guard or in the median. I sure wish our new state representatives will sponsor a bill that after the crash they take the garbage with them after the cleanup.
