Farm equipment theft reported in Moline area

A Moline area resident is warning neighbors about thefts of agricultural equipment from the driveway of a home just off 10th Street (Division).

The citizen posted on Facebook, “Someone has stolen a 236 D Catapillar right out of my driveway in the middle of the night last night. And last week a tow-behind camper was stolen also! I’m flabbergasted that someone would take something out of someone’s driveway!

“Please, if anyone has seen or heard anything, there is a reward if found if person or persons are not caught. A police report has been made for both items, but if anyone has seen or able to help please do. These items were not mine and just being stored on the property and are in fact an elderly man’s who worked hard for these items he paid for, and would like his belongings returned.

“Also be on alert this is off of Division just before 100th Street across from Excel Outdoor Storage.”

Those who have any information are urged to contact the Allegan County Sheriff’s Department or Silent Observer.
