All public school superintendents in the Allegan County Intermediate School District have signed on to a proposed Return to School plan for Allegan County, beginning in late August.
All Allegan County districts will be offering face-to-face instruction along with a remote-only instruction option. Details of these options are still being developed and will depend on what phase of the governor’s reopening plan Michigan is in when instruction resumes.
For parents who have concerns about face-to-face instruction protocols or safety measures, a 100% remote instruction option will be available.
All Allegan County districts will be starting instruction in August as follows:
- Aug. 17 — Otsego, Outlook Academy.
- Aug. 24 — Wayland Union.
- Aug. 25 — Martin.
- Aug. 27 — Hopkins.
- Aug. 31 — Allegan, Allegan Tech Center, Fennville, Glenn, Hillside Main Campus, Hillside Young Adult Campus, Innocademy, Plainwell.
The superintendents who signed on to the plan included Dr. Christina Hinds of Wayland, Gary Wood of Hopkins and Brooke Ballee-Stone of Martin.
