Lilly Vanden Bosch, 10, of Dorr, has been flown to New York City for a cutting-edge medical treatment called Adaptive T-Cell Therapy, in which a specific kind of white blood cells will be injected into her to help eliminate a virus. Lilly, who underwent a bone marrow transplant last November after being diagnosed with aplastic anemia, developed a virus and because her immunity has been compromised, she has difficulty fighting the virus. Lilly’s family is documenting her progress on a Facebook page, “Lilly vs Aplastic Anemia.” With her here in her New York hospital room is her mother, Meg.
