‘April surprise’ snowstorm not really that surprising

Austin Marsman of Martin posted this photo Thursday morning of the snow that visited West Michigan in an April surprise. Though a snow storm, rain storm and thunder are not really unheard of in Michigan, the wet system that started Wednesday and moved through the area was a stark contrast to most weather this past winter. The old saying about Michigan weather was to hold true, as temperatures for the weekend were expected to climb to above 60 degrees with sunshine. The storm actually dumped between one and three inches, with more rain.
