Army Bob: Both sides have speech double standard

by Robert M. Traxler

A second person has attempted to assassinate President Trump; no big surprise with the rhetoric on most media calling for his “being stopped any way we can,” saying “he is a threat to our democracy”, “he is Hitler” nod, nod wink, wink, say no more, it is a call for his death.

The first attempt came within a fraction of an inch of being successful. It did cause the media and progressive/socialists to tone down the cry for President Trump’s “elimination at all or any cost,” to calm down for darn near 19 hours, then it came back with a vengeance. Even President Biden toned down the rhetoric of a few hours, after his call to President Trump.

The progressive mantra is that free speech is not “hate speech”, “hurtful speech” or “incorrect speech,” whatever in the world they are. Speech calling for the death of a president both directly and indirectly is not hate speech, speech calling him Hitler is not hate speech, calling for him to be stopped, using any method available before he destroys of our nation and our families is fine. Can we say double standard?

After the first assassination attempt on President Trump. this column quoted the old saying, victory has a thousand fathers, but defeat is a bastard. Everyone involved in the security effort pointed at another agency as failing. The second attempt was thwarted by a secret service agent, who made the very difficult decision to engage the assassin with direct weapons fire in a suburban environment. Contrary to what my fellow conservatives say, the system worked as designed and the secret service deserves our appreciation, not condemnation.

Both sides need to stop and listen to their own rhetoric; both sides are over the top and in dangerous territory. The socialist/progressives own at least 80% of the media so we are bombarded by their hate, hurtful and incorrect speech vastly more than the conservative side. However, both sides are wrong. Trump derangement syndrome is in full force in our media, and they are contributing to it disproportionately.

CNN’s Scott Jennings admitted that the “blood bath” quote attributed to President Trump has been taken way out of context and he is correct. However, he made the statement during a panel discussion and was verbally assaulted by his fellow CNN talking heads.

The moral of the story is that facts are not allowed and anyone going off the plantation and speaking the truth is condemned, and they call it free speech. Even after an FBI expert testified under oath in a Federal Court that the Robert Hunter Biden laptop was real, most in the media still call it a Russian plant.

The fact is that if are if we are counting on the media to be fair and truthful, you better be a socialist and anti-American Constitution, or you will be disappointed. My opinion.

Truth hurts, especially when someone is a staunch Democrat. Truth is not a part of their thought process… winning at all costs as in cheating is OK. And don’t doubt, it will be used in this election for Democrats again!

Whilst Trump is trying to save what is left of our nation, Kamala/Walz are dyed in the wool Marxists trying to keep the borders open, us reliant on foreign oil, and no plans for inflation and high interest for home loans. They are terrible candidates and you must see who they really are, worse than Dementia Joe!
