The American Constitution is and always has been a revolutionary document; it was designed to defend the people from a tyrannical government, be it a monarchy or a socialist all-powerful government.

To turn our Republic into a socialist state with an all-knowing, all-powerful central government, the Constitution must be dealt with, ignored, destroyed or wildly misinterpreted.

“Americans have long assumed that the Constitution could save us; a growing chorus now wonders whether we need to be saved from it,” The Times’ book critic Jennifer Szalai said. “The document that’s supposed to be a bulwark against authoritarianism can end up fostering the widespread cynicism that helps authoritarianism grow… Trump owes his political ascent to the Constitution, making him a beneficiary of a document that is essentially antidemocratic and, in this day and age, increasingly dysfunctional.”

The Tenth Amendment states, “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”

The National Socialists cannot have a government that controls our lives from ‘womb to tomb” with our Constitution in place. Watch the news and what do we see? With every problem most governors and elected officials say that the federal government needs to fix it. If a localized problem crops up, folks call for a federal government solution, much to the glee of the socialist movement.

Funding illegal immigrants in sanctuary cities is a problem, a problem the cities and states made for themselves, and they scream for the federal government to pay for their ill-advised programs.

To the folks who are advocating for the death of the Constitution and the Electoral College, think it over for a few minutes. The nine states that make up a majority of our population would have all the electoral power, with the 41 smaller states being made to pay for the majority states, paying for programs and policies favorable only to the majority. It is called the tyranny of the majority.

Switching gears, calls for the Hamas Army and government to be rewarded for the despicable practice of taking hostages and murdering hundreds of them is under way in Israel and in our nation. Masses of protesters in some cities and on college campuses are calling for criminals to be rewarded.

To call off the Israel Defense Force, to call for the stopping of the offensives and leaving some 10,000 to 14,000 hard core Hamas soldiers in place, is nothing more than rewarding Hamas for rape, murder, torture, terror and kidnapping.

To use a historical analogy, the Nazis used several forums to ask the allies for an end of World War II, wanting a cease fire, asking for a peace treaty with conditions. The allied answer was unconditional surrender, accepting nothing but the complete elimination of the National Socialist government.

During the Vietnam war, the Viet Cong asked for several cease fires, and many were granted. They used the time to resupply, reorganize and regroup, indeed using the Tet religious cease fire as cover to launch a massive offensive, murdering thousands of Vietnamese who did not support the Viet Cong.

A cease fire always aids the forces that are losing; Israel should not take the bait and listen to the angry vocal minority; they should destroy Hamas, not reward them. My opinion.
