The Kavanaugh hearings are over, Judge Brett Kavanaugh is now Justice Brett Kavanaugh. Let’s look in the rearview mirror and see what we find.It was holy grail that the victims of sexual assault accusing Judge Kavanaugh were to be believed. If you did not believe every accuser you are a (fill-in the blank) racist, sexist, bigot, homophobic, Neanderthal too stupid to suckle at the breast of Mother Earth.
“I believe and support the victims, women would not lie about such a serious subject” was a mantra. Sexual assault is among the most under reported crimes; it is also among the most falsely reported crimes. Not a problem, no proof needed; we do not like Judge Kavanaugh, so innocent until proven guilty is not his right, it is merely a job interview after all. So, when was the last time you were sworn to tell the truth under the penalty of perjury in a “job interview”?
Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley referred Ms. Munro-Leighton for criminal prosecution after his office said she alleged that Kavanaugh and a friend raped her in the backseat of a car — only for that story to fall apart. The accusations were initially made via a “Jane Doe” letter to Sen. Kamala Harris’ D-Calif. office in September.
Kavanaugh was asked about the allegations in an interview with investigators, where the future Justice called the allegations a “crock” and a “farce.” Later, October 3, Judy Munro-Leighton emailed the committee claiming to be the “Jane Doe” of the letter and said she was “sharing with you the story of the night that Brett Kavanaugh and his friend sexually assaulted and raped me in his car,” calling it a “vicious assault.”
Ms. Munro-Leighton wrote “I refuse to allow Donald J. Trump to use me or my story as an ugly chant at one of his Republican rallies. I know that Jane Doe will get no media attention, but I am deathly afraid of revealing any information about myself or my family.”
Investigators located Munro-Leighton living in Kentucky, not California, and discovered that she is a left-wing activist, a decade older than Judge Kavanaugh. Oops, we must believe the accuser all the accusers. Proof? We don’t need no stinkin’ proof. Most the left lined up behind blind belief in the allegations, all the allegations, even before any allegation was investigated or anyone went under oath.
Experience in the investigative process causes me to always keep an open mind until at least the initial investigation is completed. In the Kavanaugh case he was judged and convicted in the court of public opinion before the first subject/complainant interview was conducted, or the first piece of evidence was evaluated.
According to the referral from the Senate Judiciary Committee, Ms. Munro-Leighton also admitted she had never even met Judge/Justice Kavanaugh. Most haters on the left will still insist the story is true.Try to find this story in the media and you will see the story is given little coverage; it is a story that damages the preconceived truth as the major media outlets want it to be.
A little told story is that the liberal media was out looking for dirt months ago on possible nominees, and according to people interrogated by the media, angry that they had nothing bad to say about possible Trump nominees, and even attempted to credit them with saying things they did not say.
Justice Kavanaugh is seated on the Supreme Court, he will not be impeached for actions before he was sworn in. To say he is red meat for the radical socialist base of the Democrats, so they call for it in fund-raising letters, but it will not happen.
With Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg sadly in ill health, a third appointment may be open to President Trump; let’s pray she remains healthy. I would love to see yet one more open seat for President Trump to fill, but not being a person like Representative Maxine Waters, I do not wish heart disease and sudden death on her as Ms. Waters has on Justice Thomas.
The result of a court with a solid majority of Justices that follow the “original intent” of the Constitution would make the last senate approval process look non-violent and harmonious.
Look to many on the left rationalizing Ms. Munro-Leighton’s admittedly false criminal complaint and continuing to accept the story as true. Hate blinds most folks to truth.
That Munro-Leighton lied about Kavanaugh does not mean Christine Blase Ford did. I found Ford to be credible. Not only I did, but many people did, including prominent repubs. But, somehow, she was not credible as to whom it was that had assaulted her. I watched all of her testimony, and she struck me as believable. I also watched all of Kavanaugh. He did not appear to me to telling the truth.
In my career I interviewed dozens of men, and a couple of women, accused of sexual assault. There were at least three cases of false accusations of which I came to know. People do lie, on both sides of the matter.
The fact that Munro-Leighton lied does not mean that Ford wasn’t reporting truthfully. And no, I don’t think she was “mixed up” about who the assaulter was.

We have Criminal Investigations experience in common. Physical evidence, in the Kavanaugh case is nonexistent and the testimonial evidence is five to one against her.
Dr. Ford said a sexual assault happened the person she accused and the four witnesses she (Dr. Ford) named, stated under-oath to the FBI it did not.
Folks believe what they want to believe, facts and evidence can’t change that, no court of law in our nation would ever even hear the Ford/Kavanaugh case.
Follow the facts and evidence, not your hart is a good way to look at a criminal case.
Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg was in the hospital after a very bad fall November 7th, she suffered broken ribs and other injuries we all wish her well and hope she serves for many more years. If she needs to step down the battle for President Trump’s third appointment will be even nastier than the Justice Kavanaugh hearings. President Trumps future nominee will be a criminal, raciest, sexist, homophobic, Islamophobic, bigoted, person, even before any evidence is found or the media knows who they are.

And thank you for your service, Bob. Today is actually the Marine Corps birthday, and I just sent an email to my old service buddy in South Carolina. I used my service number – remembered after these many years – to close my wishes for a happy 11-10, and happy 11-11. If Mary Ellen’s Uncle Carl was still alive, I’d be contacting him. He celebrated VE day in Europe, and then prepared for the invasion of Japan, not knowing that what seemed inevitable wasn’t to happen.
There would have been insufficient evidence to have convicted Kavanaugh had he been on trial. I formed an opinion that his testimony was not always truthful, and some of his comments, such as “what goes around comes around” were troubling for a nominee for the highest court in the land. I would have noted no on his confirmation, but had it been a trial, there was not enough there for conviction.
It was amazing, a woman with PhD, travelled to give presentations within her specialty to audiences and in front of a Senate panel and she sounded like a confused little girl with dirty eyeglasses.
Not only being confused about where and when this incident supposidly occurred, none of the participants at the party would back up her story, and they denied being there or knowing Kavanaugh. Yup, looks thoroughly guilty to me. Lock him up and throw away the key! Guilty before innocent.
This country is more divided than ever because of crap like this. Ms. Ford was a good Democrat trying to do her duty to block a nomination and she tried hard to pull it off.
Nobody suggested locking Kavanaugh up and throwing away the key. There was no criminal prosecution in play. There were concerns about the man’s truthfulness and temperament.
It was a very personal vicious attack on an honorable man and his family. His behavior in front of the committee was exactly what was warranted. If you were he, would you fold your hands and act contrite as if you were guilty and not put up a fight? He will always be smeared with this and will go to his grave with this unjust, illogical, rresponsible, attack on his honor.
Ms Ford was not hurt at all other than a few days of protest. She will forever be the darling of the Left, and make millions from book deals and appearances. So much for not profiting from false attacks.
I would dare say that yours was an unwarranted and vicious attack on Ms. Ford, and you assume her guilty of being a Democratic pawn. Yet you show no sense of awareness of what happens to those who have been sexually assaulted, their sense of time and location, etc. You also forget that if the event for other “witnesses” had no significance at the time (just another party night, no personal traumatic event to mark the day or date) the chance on them remembering it 30 years later is slim at best. As far as I have heard, Ms. Ford and family have yet to move back home for fear of their safety. Not hurt at all by this experience? Darling of the left? You might want to consider where your own “guilty until proven innocent” beliefs come from as concerns Ms. Ford.

The most harrowing experience of her life and she does the following:
– Represses it for years and only remembered when in a marriage therapy meeting.
– Cannot remember anything specific about the incident (date, what house was she in, how did she get home, etc.)
– All her friends she had to corroborate her version had no knowledge off the incident nor knew Kavanaugh or if he and his buddy were ever at said party. Some said they weren’t at the party or any party Ms. Ford described.
Ms. Ford is a Democrat insider and wanted to block Mr. Kavanaugh’s nomination in any way she could. Her little girl meek voice statement approach was effective until the questioning started, then her story all fell apart.
I’ve heard many women who were violently raped; my cousin was a victim and her testimony on the witness stand with every detail of the time, day, place, and her concise testimony pointed to the accused rapist to be convicted and sent to prison. Most women similarly treated say they remember everything.
Ms. Ford only remembered a few things after being prompted, but she remembered one name — Kavanaugh. How convenient since he was nominated! Years in the public on federal benches as a judge and not a peep from her before on his nominations? I call BS on that. You can defend her all you want, I didn’t believe much of what she said after she introduced herself. I must admit, it was a great Democrat crap storm that they tried to pull, but it backfired.
Thank God he was confirmed as an associate justice. Hopefully, one more opening will occur while Trump is in office.

The opening for the last justice position had nothing to do with sickness or death, it was a retirement/resignation. I never indicated in my response anything about sickness or dying – only twisted Democrats lie about matters like this.
An honorable person would apologize, but I don’t expect one.
90% of Justices either die or become to ill to continue I think thats why they call it a lifetime appointment. I am not a socialist DEM or a nationalist REP . Would not lower my self to belong to either one .Live by my gut feeling.
