Ever notice how a product places green in its name and puts a green label on the product, then charges more for the same item? Ever notice how a company pays a large fee to “environmental” groups and gets an endorsement that they are friendly to the environment and charges more for the same item? A product gets a green light from an environmental corporation even though they pollute the crap out of China, India and the world in general, but not here.

They pay their tithe to the environmental church to get the endorsement, and the price goes up by 10 or more percent. Brilliant marketing, like organic foods that may just be the same as it was grown before, but if they put organic in the name or on the label they can charge more. The environmental corporations are making good money, green lighting products and passing on some of the money to progressive/socialist political groups. This is an example of Capitalism at its best, though the “Green” industry would never agree.

Folks need to appreciate the marketing brilliance of the Silicon Valley billionaires and the folks at the corner of Wall and Broad Streets in New York. They pay tribute to the environmental groups and get to call their product green, sustainable or environmentally responsible and up the price. The big corporations benefit, as do the environmental corporations. Environmental and regular American consumers educated by the politically correct media to feel that they are saving the world by purchasing anything with green, sustainable, or environmentally friendly on its label pay the price to feel good about themselves.

Marketing brilliance at its best, the socialist/progressive base are duped into supporting the environmental church and they ignore the damage done to mother earth in third world nations. Many nations have a large problem with respiratory diseases and the resulting high death rates, but never fear — the socialist/progressive church praises cutting carbon and other deadly pollution in our nation and Western Europe, out of sight out of mind.

The idea is to outsource pollution, even though it increases the body count; the dying are in Asia, and Asians are the one minority group the progressives hold in low regard, as they as a group work too hard to excel in our nation. An example is that many college admissions minority quotas did not include Asians. Indeed a group of Asian students successfully sued Harvard for discrimination in admissions.

Allowed to pollute on a massive scale by the United Nations and Western politically correct governments, corporations, and nations (mostly in Asia) pollute for us. They indeed factor in the fuel burned to transport the items to us and it is a major increase. It is like pumping oil in other nations and shipped to us halfway around the world, burning millions of gallons of fuel. The socialists/progressives are proud of themselves for stopping oil exploration and production in our nation; it results in more pollution worldwide, but who gives a tinker’s damn, they are proud of themselves.

The media goes wall to wall and plays up how marvelous the corporations are in saving the world, closing plants in our nation, even though they pollute more a lot more in the third world than they would manufacturing in our nation. It is not about pollution, but imaging and marketing, and the progressives are masters at it with the help of the media.

And ever noticed the term “sustainable” is used more and more in advertising but we have no truth in advertising laws that require an advertiser or corporations to meet a set standard? We indeed have more than 400 “standards” to choose from. Not to fear, the corporations pay off the deacons of the church of the environmentally responsible and they issue a statement of dispensation testifying the items are “sustainable.” A new ad campaign on television is for propane, maintaining propane is an important step towards zero carbon, sustainable and environmentally friendly energy, go figure.

The United States Department of Agricultural (USDA) sets standards for “organic,” however, anyone can use the term organic but not have the USDA seal of approval. Anyone know what the official seal even looks like? Anyone care? Do not confuse the inspected stamp for the organic stamp.

We can say the Townbroadcast is sustainable, organic, and environmentally friendly, the esteemed editor and owner should put it on the banner and charge more for advertising. My opinion.

Sir, Nice article. I am shocked there are not any comments from environmentalism intellectuals.

David, Agree, it may be the money is just too good to stand on principle or be ethical. If Covid-19 and the Biden laptop taught us anything, it teaches us the strength of the "Big Lie" told often and with conviction. Thanks for the comment.
