El Presidente of Mexico has come out on the side of President Biden and is degrading Governor Ron DeSantis; indeed, the Mexican President has also come out against all Republicans, no need to wonder why. The Mexican economy is solidly in bed with the narco traffickers and those being paid, sometimes referred to as “coyotes,” to help migrants (or illegal aliens or undocumented persons, whatever is the currently politically correct term) cross our border for a fee.
A trip to and across our mostly open, unprotected border can cost from $1,500 to $15,000 (2019 estimates), depending on the starting point.
According to Quora, a Mexican citizen can make darn near $250,000 per year working in the illicit drug industry. A quarter of a million a year and no taxes! Not bad work if you can get it.
According to the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, drugs bring in from $45 to $55 billion per year to the Mexican economy in 2011 dollars. We can add an enormous amount to the ledger some 12 years later. The cartel that runs the State of Sinaloa pulls in some $40 billion per year. The people of Sinaloa average $15,000 for every person in the entire state of Sinaloa; a family of five’s portion is $75,000. One does not have to be an economist to see why the Mexican President wants President Biden back for four more years and a majority for the progressive/socialist party in our government.
Mexico gets some $150 billion from drugs, human smuggling and money being sent back to Mexico from people working in the United States, and many estimates triple that number. No need to ask why the government of Mexico loves the Democrats and supports the socialist party.
In the Huffington Post, an opinion piece predictably headlined, “No one is more dangerous for the White House than Ron DeSantis — including Donald Trump,” and it went on to parrot the currently growing feeling that the Florida governor is “more informed, tactical and calculated, which makes him way more dangerous.”
Hell is indeed freezing over; former President Trump is not Satan personified? He was called the most evil person ever to have lived, more evil than Adolph Hitler, Mao Zedong, or Joseph Stalin combined. The three socialist leaders have a well over an 85,000,000-body count, but they are not as evil as Governor DeSantis? Go figure.
Research the profit from drugs, human smuggling and Mexicans sending money back to Mexico from the United States, and the numbers are from 1% to 14% of GDP, (14% is 2.5 trillion, 1% is 250 billion). We may never know the true figure, let it suffice to say it is enough to cause the Mexican president to want the status quo to remain, thus supporting the socialist party.
This column still feels that President Trump is too old to run for office, as is President Biden, but the choice between the two aged leaders is an easy one. President Trump is far more lucid and energetic, he is not an insider who plays the game of Washington payoffs to the extended families of the powerful.
It will be a few months before the Republican primary shakes itself out, but I am looking more and more at Vivek Ramaswamy. He is the only candidate besides Trump who is not to some extent spawned from the primordial ooze of the Washington swamp.
My opinion, disagree if you wish, and you will not be called a degrading name.
DJT has now had the full experience of dealing with the hoodlums.
Unbelievable corruption is being uncovered – more and more and more every day.
We need things like POGO again … maybe that would help open some eyes.
Very sad days for the USA.
Bob, your argument would be a lot stronger if the facts on the ground matched what you say. But they don’t. For example, illegal border crossings are down under President Biden, which makes me wonder why you think anyone in Mexico who’s involved in the drug trade would want Dark Brandon to stay in office? Wouldn’t they prefer Trump, so illegal crossings can go up again?

Sebastian,
The numbers are down but not compared to the before President Biden levels, they are the lowest in two years, but still higher than before President Biden took office. Under President Trump they were much lower than they are currently. Thanks for the comment.
Don’t forget the recent increase in illegal immigration from all over the world, including large numbers of single military age males entering the US through Mexico. People from nations who are known or potential threats to our national security, like China.
MacDougal,
Thanks for the comment. Today if you show up at the border you get an free pass for three to five years before any questions are even asked. 6.7 million and counting under President Biden almost 12 times the population of Wyoming. More folks than the entire population of four States. 6.7 million in two years and the media tells us to be happy as the numbers are down for the summer, they are now going back up as the heat of the summer is passing. Thanks again.
Just a sidenote:
Colonel Douglas MacGregor put it into perspective for me, as per his most recent interview on Tucker Carlson (8/21/23).
Keeping in mind that of the 130 million workers, real Americans who are scratching out a living here in the US averages only about $31K per year (while paying $5K plus state taxes per year!) – if they work all of their life, and save for retirement, they can expect to receive from SS about $1400 a month (if they’re lucky).
Meanwhile, we hand out every alleged asylum seeker / migrant pouring over the border $2,200 – and keep them on this handout from there on out per month.
The Afghans who hung onto the planes – when they arrived, they received $2,200.
And what do the poor victims of Hawaii get offered by Biden? After losing family members – kids either burned alive or drowned – loss of homes, belongings, cars, properties – ability to work and sustain what’s left of their families?… a one time payment of $700?
Unfathomable … Americans are always last. This cannot stand. We need to wake up.
Deb you might want to take a peek at this and not what the Swanson heir is distorting or a man who likes Vivek who basically wants to destroy America democracy!
Maria Elvira Salazar (R-Florida) introduced the Dignity Act (H.R. 3599) in the U.S. House of Representatives on May 23, 2023, a bipartisan effort to strengthen border security in the United States, provide undocumented individuals with an opportunity to obtain legal status if they meet certain requirements, and update aspects of the U.S. legal immigration system. Additional co-sponsors include Reps. Veronica Escobar (D-Texas), Lori Chavez-DeRemer (R-Oregon), Mike Lawler (R-New York), and Jennifer Gonzalez-Colon (R-Puerto Rico).
This bipartisan effort comes as new polling indicates that more than 4 in 5 Americans – including 80 percent of Republican registered voters – support Republicans and Democrats working together on immigration reforms that address labor shortages and inflation, and protect people already in the U.S. and contributing to their communities. During the rollout of the legislation, Rep. Salazar indicated that the bill is intended to follow the biblical principles of Dignity and Redemption. The bill also aims to focus on modernizing America’s immigration system to meet the country’s economic needs and to do so in a manner that supports American workers. The bill’s title stands for ‘‘Dignity for Immigrants while Guarding our Nation to Ignite and Deliver the American Dream Act of 2023’’ or the ‘‘DIGNIDAD (Dignity) Act of 2023.’’
FRWF;
I must admit I’m struggling to find a connection…
Are you a politician?…
You begin your comment by taking a swipe at Carlson, because his father married a woman who was an heir to Swanson Enterprises (the frozen dinner business – that at that point in time, had already been sold to Campbell)?
So … what’s the relevance of that?
What did Tucker have to do with his father’s marriage during his youth, as if he had any choice in the matter?
I’m STARTING to wonder if I’m dialoguing now with a person who believes at their core, that wealth is bad – that if you have money, you can’t possibly be a good person or do anything worthwhile for society, God or country.
Fundamentally though, my point is – what does your post have to do with anything that I wrote about?
I was writing about what Colonel Douglas MacGregor was telling us in the interview. Tucker was asking questions, and the Colonel was giving answers. How is that distorting anything? Or do you have issues with the Colonel as well?
I wasn’t commenting at all, on Ramaswamy. Personally, I am cautious with him. He has intelligence, but I worry about his lack of experience. DC is a snake pit. I’m not convinced he’e capable. I fear they would eat him alive.
As far as him wanting to “… destroy America democracy…” – well, I’m one of those who would have to ask you then – what is ‘democracy’ to you? If it’s ‘rule of and by the people’, do you really think we have that??
Finally, I could care less about Republicans vs Democrats, and ‘bi-partisanship’, and all that malarkey. It’s all one party for the most part, anyway.
I have faith. We’re an amazing country. We’ll survive this …
Wfrf, Another copy and paste already? What the hell…..????My opinion.
Border crossings are not “down” in any way, shape or form on Biden’s watch just because it happened to drop for one month. He set a new record in 2021 and then broke it by over 1 million more people in 2022. This is only the ones counted by CBP that they “encounter”.

MacDougal please don’t copy and paste it upsets the CINO very MUCHO.
Y’mean Vivek who claims government officials were part of 9-11??? That Vivek??????????????????
Gosh darn – I keep thinking of things … a wise friend of mine has reminded me of something:
“…nobody, not even Vivek, said what needed to be said:
“If I need to pardon Donald Trump on Day One, the 2024 election will have been illegitimate.
All of the charges against Trump are completely meritless, and a transparent attempt to interfere in the upcoming election.
The Supreme Court needs to intervene in this matter immediately.
Merrick Garland needs to be impeached immediately, both for allowing this witch hunt against Biden’s political opponent and for sabotaging the investigation into crimes of Joe and Hunter Biden.
And if this is not resolved by 2025, I will appoint an attorney general who will investigate these prosecutions at the state and federal level and hold those responsible accountable for their crimes against the American system of electing its President.
– – – – said not one Republican candidate in the debate.
And it isn’t just them. Scarcely any Republican in Congress has said anything like this. ”
Well said, my friend …
Debra, I don’t think in the debate that question ever came up. I’m assuming you’re a Fox News watcher, but you don’t recall Kevin McCarthy brought up that Merrick Garland should be impeached or Nikki Hayley saying Republicans absolutely should look into impeachment and Lauren Boebert filed a motion to impeach President Joe Biden along with a few others, but the reasonable members have cautioned against it.
But about the question if Trump is found guilty will you support him, six of the candidates raised their hands. Imagine that. And to get to your point about Colonel MacGregor he’s a known to support conspiracy theories and anti-semitic tropes. That’s probably why he’s one of Tucker’s go to guys. And why was Tucker Carlson fired? And as far as a person earning a decent living or getting wealthy in the proces, I don’t have a problem with that, but when they start using their wealth to purchase politicians and push their policies, that’s a problem. That’s why I have stated several times in past opinions we need to restore the Taft Act .
