Army Bob: One world government is just an illusion

Will the one-worlders’ concept of a single world government ever work? Never, not a chance in hell, if history teaches us anything.

The former Soviet Socialist Republics and the current European Union teach us that nationalism is a real force; folks are proud to be Americans, British, French or whatever nation they come from. The one world concept will work if and only if the people feel all is fair and balanced, with no former nation or region receiving more or less than another group.

It is impossible to take an action that will impact everyone equally. People, climate, needs, wants, desires, customs and courtesies are different, not to mention language and history.

The Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR) was based on a system that celebrated the need of everyone to work for the betterment of the government; all were equal, in theory anyway — from each according to his ability to each according to his need, the mantra of the USSR. To its credit, the USSR did exist for some 77 years, a very long time for a socialist government. The USSR was able to control the various groups in 15 former nations by having a common enemy, the counter-revolutionary White Russians or Monarchists as opposed to the Red Russians, Fascist Germany and later the United States/NATO. The people were controlled with laws that criminalized criticizing the government, calling questions “counter revolutionary actions” punishable by up to death.

It was a matter of time before the people in Poland looked to a new Polish Pope, Pope John Paul II with pride, and wished to openly practice religion, not allowed in the former USSR. Interestingly the Polish Nationalist movement was born in the trade unions, traditionally folks who leaned toward socialism and away from capitalism.

The introduction of the internet and satellite television giving the people of the former USSR a window to the world dispelled some of the state medias’ assertions that capitalist western governments held their people in ignorance, bondage and poverty. Indeed, they were able to see that this capitalism thing was good, very good. Curiously, reruns of the TV series “Dallas” were extremely popular back then, with the question of who shot J.R. asked in more than a dozen languages in the 14 soviet satellite states.

The European Union (EU) is trying to inject the values of the many on the few, environmental, social, trade and tax laws; the result is Brexit and anti-EU movements in five of the seven EU countries.

The Preamble to our American Constitution states in part “That to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, that whenever any form of government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or abolish it.”

The EU is an intoxicating concept for the one world folks to start with, but it is failing over time.

The English people are facing a second vote on Brexit; will it pass? Can the left get it on the ballot? Will they then retain EU membership? Probably, the EU is terrified and will pull out all the stops. President Obama may go back to England and campaign again against Brexit and in the EU’s favor. The socialist one-worlders are also prepared to collude with the foreign governments to steal an election in England, but this time it is the foreign socialist left who are charged with colluding, so that will be a good thing in the eyes of the American/worldwide press.

And we have not discussed the disasters of the United Nations or the League of Nations. A successful one world government? In a perfect world inhabited by automatons perhaps; in a world inhabited by humans, not a snowball’s chance in hell. One world government and 1930s National Socialism go against human nature; thank God for our founding fathers and our Constitution.

I’m not sure there will never be a one World government. I know it won’t be in my life time, but there are some indications it may happen.
China, Russia, and America may someday be the governing force of the World.
We are to reliant on China….evidence I present is when the tariffs went into effect the stockmarket started down, Apple seems to be a victim and stocks fell again. We are becoming more divided as time goes on ( people refuse to except the division and the possible consequences)
Of the three powers mentioned above, the United States will be the first to destroy itself and become easy pickings.
The other two will slowly take over the weaker nations. There will be no United States to intervene.
China and Russia to this point have shown that their citizens have little or no influence in the government.
China is the “sleeper ” few have or want to except the huge achievement they made landing on the dark side of the moon.
We poke fun at our President for talking about forming a space command. One has to try to picture one Country circling the world with the capability of not only controlling all air and space traffic. But also able to “surgically strike” any group that might oppose them any where on earth.
Yes, my thoughts and opinion may be way out in “left field ” …one has to ask themselves could it be possible. I believe yes it is and if I were to bet on the winner it would be China.

Most balls hit in a game are to left field. I am afraid you are right about China. They have already proved China does not need the USA. Very few ag products bought from US . You think they bought them from someone else? The time has come to stop building Walls and military might and get along.Americans have little influence or no in the government either. No say on tariffs just one man.Oh SH#t now we have two guys in left field.Do not worry i think a lot of balls will land there.

        Mr. Longstreet,
        Sir,
China purchases 20 billion in soy beans and billions in cotton among other agriculture products.
        Thanks for the comment.

Not this year. Maybe in 2020, too costly with tariffs. Farmers going broke but the government is making billions. I hear more than the cost of a wall.

        • dennis longstreet

China has offered to buy 70 billion in ag products if the president would would be more fair on tariffs . the only losers are american farmers . The trade system maybe one sided to some. But trade makes the world go around $20 billion you say
is great is a 65% difference from what could be and once was

Do not know where you get your facts, but Vietnam and Bangledesh import more cotton than China. 2018 was the lowest amount of soybeans imported by China in a decade. Who needs to buy from the USA with huge tariffs?

    Mr. Smit,
    Harry,
Napoleon Bonaparte more than two centuries ago: “China is a sleeping lion. Let her sleep, for when she wakes she will shake the world.”
